Colour-full Summer

Summer's just around the corner, and what better way to enjoy the long days baking in this god forsaken Texas heat than listening to the ever-calming City and Colour? City and Colour being one of my favorite bands, I was uber excited to hear that Mr. Dallas Green is finally obliging we die hard fans with a third album.
Following Sometimes (2005) and  Bring Me Your Love (2008), Little Hell (2011) should be the best yet of his exponential album repetoire. That may be my bias talking, but this first single "Fragile Bird" is bone-chillingly good.
Listen to "Fragile Bird" Here---->http://www.cityandcolour.ca/
It accurately portrays a more upbeat Green with a soul-synthy fusion layed atop his smooth-like-butter voice: a different technique than what his voice is usually paired with, but equally as effective in complememnting Green's echoey choral sighs. It'll be interesting to find out if City and Colour will explore this new sound throughout the entirety of Little Hell or stick to the old, but effective, feathery acoustics of the past. Either way, I 'm sure it will be glorious.
Looking forward to the days where I can lounge around and have Green's silky voice croon me to sleep mid-day. Too bad I'll have to wait until June 7th. Totally worth it.
